According to Greek mythology, the lover of my namesake, the fertility goddess Ariadne of Naxos, was trapped in a labyrinth with a perilous monster. With the help of a thread that she had smuggled in, she helped him to free himself from this difficult situation. I am doing something similar now. Nomen est omen.

A Mennonite school and many hot summers in Canada, temporarily being part of the entourage of #Joseph Beuys, carpentering in Kreuzberg, thirty exciting, colorful and successful years as an entrepreneur, manager, executive, mediator and mother of 4 small children lie behind me. These times were wild, creative and joyful, sometimes sad and exhausting, then again exhilarating, loving and educational - and sometimes on the verge of operational madness ...

Many moons ago, together with Alphaville, we created songs and founded an artists' commune called Melodie Nelson. We made music, painted, experimented with extreme forms of living, philosophized all night, discussed and shared all property. This gave birth to the Lunapark Group, of which I was the co-founder and very young CEO. Here I managed bands for about 12 years, produced the short film compilation Songlines, negotiated extensive international contracts, and constantly mediated between artists and the music industry. I have been around the world a lot and found it exciting to meet exciting people such as #Sir Richard Branson and as a manager, tour manager (and driver from time to time) to get to experience the customs of many different countries.

When I didn't want to travel around anymore and ran out of passion for the music business, I gave birth to four children and completed an MBA in International Management. In doing so, I learned that being a parent is unique and what I had achieved as an autodidact in showbiz and where there was potential for optimization. During my studies in the 1990s, I explored TQM, the Havard concept and mediation intensively for the first time. I was immediately enthusiastic and still am today! The TQM as the forerunner of the Vuka world, the win-win-win principle of the Havard concept and the transformative power of mediation fit into my idea of a participatory, self-determined and responsible world. Since then I have applied many of them and continued studying them.

Then I followed my proclivity for designing living scenarios and architecture. I founded new companies and, among other things, accompanied the relocation of all creative departments and the management of Universal Records from Hamburg to Berlin as a relocater. For 12 years we developed houses for urban families and alternative ways of living in Berlin under our own label called "Metamorphosis". "Metamorphosis" stood among other things for an organic, imaginative and participatory revitalization of building ruins as well as the most sustainable possible "casting" of the new residents. I moderated heated assembly groups, conducted balancing negotiations with architects, sellers and buyers, and mediated between squatters and the surrounding neighborhood. I endeavored to add new accents to the changes in the city and gentrification for a livable city for all. That was existential, successful and satisfying.

Up to that point, I had always been extremely agile and lean. Then I wanted to try out what it is like to work as an employee and executive in a less flexible, medium-sized real estate company. I was responsible for around 50 people. The owner was hungry for renewal and I had hoped that I would be able to influence a meaningful transformation of the tense urban development from there. In this context, for example, I was able to get in touch with two former pastors from New York who showed me on the spot how they developed new concepts and financing for a meaningful metamorphosis of the burnt-out Brooklyn in the 1980s. Against some political resistance, they managed to successfully implement these new ideas together with many of the People of Color living there as the new owners. Since then they have been active in many hot spots around the world, whether in South America, Rome or now in Neukölln. For various reasons, nothing came of the cooperation back then and the task of creating a liveable and affordable city for all in Berlin will probably remain for a long time ... Fueling and helping to shape the dynamics of internal corporate change was exciting. (Among other things, I organized my first World Café here). The logistics associated with the conversion of the corporation, the power of the old structures, and to negotiate the fears, pains and joys of the many employees from within was extremely challenging and not always pleasant. The experience of having a "boss" for four years was also profound and very instructive for me.

6 years ago I decided to leave the operational business and to add new knowledge to my skills and experience. Since then, I have found great joy in flexibility and ample diversity again. And in supporting people and different organizations in mastering challenging situations, making important decisions, overcoming stagnation and freeing themselves from highly complex conflicts. Working together to transform existing energies, which were often perceived as negative at the outset, into life-affirming and sustainable motivation, fulfills my need for meaning and warmth.

Today, I am a mediator, changemaker and facilitator. I like to take an impartial stance, connect people and continue to focus on personal responsibility and empowerment. I view situations from many different perspectives and start at the meta level.

If you wish, I will also make your great challenges easier, help you to cope with conflicts and to overcome seemingly inescapable labyrinths. - as once Ariadne of Naxos did. I am calm and strong and "smuggle" colorful liberating threads into intertwined systems. Yeah!
